Friday Blue Water Weekend Event: – Meet and Greet and Watch the Sun Set Over the Pacific Ocean

Friday Oct 10 2014 - 6:00 pm

Blue Water Weekend is an annual event;  a celebration of the life and music of John Denver,  while sharing the beauty and wonders of the Monterey Bay Area where he lived.

Join us as we watch the sun set in the West (sun sets at 6:38) and enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean. Wear a John Denver t-shirt, hat or button and meet the group on the observation deck above Rappa’s restaurant at the end of the Wharf. Come early and explore the many stores on the wharf, or enjoy an early dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants nearby (reservations recommended – make sure you ask for a window seat for the view). Whatever you choose, take just a bit of time at 6:00 to join the group at the observation deck and say hello!

At 7:00 we are going to continue the fun at “Wine From The Heart” a short walk across the street from the Wharf.  Enjoy a glass of wine, beer or coffee (no host).

"As John Denver's former drummer and percussionist, working with Jim Curry has kept alive for me how it was playing with John. Jim has stayed true to John’s music and vision. It is a pleasure working with Jim and Anne Curry."

Richie Gajate Garcia

"Curry makes you feel as if you are visiting him in his living room and his band shares the same warmth, which rolls out into the crowd…"
