Breaking the Covid Barrier (Click Here for More)

5 June 2021

Clockwise from back: Larry, Jim, Anne, Tom and Diane in an Elevator Shot! (It’s a thing we do)

We are going to find out first-hand what our future will be, as we venture into the unique experience of returning to live performance venues after a world-wide pandemic.

Either by Government mandate, by committee or self-imposed, most of the venues (places where we perform) are still under restrictions – opening cautiously with limited seating to allow for social distancing.  A lot of them have found alternate outdoor places to hold concerts.

Venues are avoiding intermissions to limit the audience from mixing in small spaces (restrooms or concession lines).  Most of them will not allow us to sell cds or meet and greet the audience after the show.

All of these thing are in place to protect people and give us all a start on returning to normal.  As the population gets vaccinated or becomes immune, everyday life will be more like it used to be.

We are looking forward to getting the show back on the road, despite the restrictions.  The most difficult thing for us is not being allowed to meet the audience after the show, but we respect the directives given to us by the venues that hire us.  Please know that we are missing seeing you all after the show, it’s our favorite part of doing what we do.

Above all, continue to practice good health and hygiene.  If this pandemic has taught us anything, it taught us that we don’t want to be sick and we don’t want to get anybody else sick – no matter what the germ, virus or ailment is.

Even with restrictions it looks like a busy time for us through December!  Please keep praying for us as we travel and come see us when you can!!

We attended the Greensboro concert last night. It was terrific! We were SO thrilled to
see you back in concert. We cannot imagine the challenges you andvthe band have faced
the last year. We are very grateful you are now back with
the music. You all sounded great! We strongly encourage
JD music fans to come out to hear you when you play our area. We know this location
is a long trip for the band but please play our area whenever a venue is available,
Again thank you for bringing back the music after the shutdown. It was just what we
    needed. Detra and Bryan Morton

Hi Detra and Bryan! Thank you for coming to the concert! The weather (much worried about) turned out to be perfect and it was a beautiful night of beautiful music! Musicians are road warriors – no place is too far! Lol! We look forward to the next time we can visit lovely North Carolina!
