Jim Curry's John Denver Concerts

"A Christmas Together" Jim Curry, the Kingston Trio and Lee Holdridge Conducting the Chandler Symphony in Gilbert, Arizona

Saturday Dec 10 2016 - 7:30 pm

Higley Center presents “A Christmas Together,” bringing together “The Kingston Trio Holiday Concert” and “Jim Curry’s John Denver Rocky Mountain Christmas.”

This world premiere features the Kingston Trio performing holiday songs and old Trio favorites.  Recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2011, the Trio has played Pops Concerts with symphony orchestras for over 35 years but this Higley Center presentation marks the Kingston Trio’s first ever Pops Concert of its Christmas repertoire!

Opening the show is Jim Curry, who performs his John Denver holiday tribute, using the original orchestra arrangements written for John Denver.  Topping off this amazing evening of music is the appearance of 18-time Emmy nominee Lee Holdridge, who created the John Denver orchestra arrangements and who will be conducting the Chandler Symphony Orchestra throughout the evening!
